Viola Zhang / 张丹	Viola started knitting when she was seven, and has loved it since. When she was young, her father discouraged her from knitting because he did not want it to affect her studies. However, she secretly continued to knit and improved her skills. She has knit many gifts for her friends and family, and they always loved her work. Viola actually majored in chemistry and worked in the chemical industry prior to joining Shokay. She found Shokay through an Internet posting, and joined the team in May 2006. Since joining the team, she has been able to pursue her passion. Designing new products for Shokay has given her a great sense of accomplishment; she will continue to work hard at designing beautiful products.
Yuan Mei Li / 袁美丽	Yuan Mei Li used to work at a metal processing plant in attempt to increase her household income. Throughout the years, she has always knitted as a way to keep her family in warm clothing, and also because she enjoys the calm it brings her. She keeps a lot of ducks and one goat near her house on Chongming Island.
Yuan Mei Ping / 袁美萍	Knitting has always been a hobby for Yuan Mei Ping since she was a child. She makes a primary living from raising fish from her two large ponds. Every morning she is busy feeding and caring for the fish. Now that she has more free time, she enjoys earning a supplemental income from working with Shokay. She is a talented knitter of sweaters .
Yuan Mei Xian / 袁美贤	Growing up, Yuan Mei Xian loved to sing. When she was an electrician in the production team of a local processing plant, she sang songs to pass time. After one of her relatives became a doctor in Chinese medicine, he taught her the Chinese remedial treatment of Cupping. When neighbors and friends suffer from an ailment, she conducts Cupping treatments at her home for free.
Chen Zhi Y ing / 陈志英	Chen Zhi Ying began knitting when she was young, learning from others but mainly teaching herself. She enjoys crocheting the most, and is very talented. She is most proud of her beautiful daughter who is now attending university.
Zhang Hong / 张红	With a husband laboring in a neighboring region, Zhang Hong spends most of the year raising her child and farm by herself. She finds joy in knitting clothing for her daughter, as it brings her respite from laboring on the farm. On her farm, Zhang Hong raises chickens and a variety of vegetables, including Chinese cabbage and taro.
Gu Xiu Zhen / 顾秀珍	While Gu Xiu Zhen's passion is knitting, her husband loves planting. They take great care in their houseplants. Her house is like a small Horticulture Pavilion. Gu Xui Zhen enjoys seeing all the greenery when she knits in her free time.
Lu Ping / 陆萍	Lu Ping used to work at a cotton factory and has also knitted sweaters for export. She joined the Shokay team because it allows her to have a more flexible schedule to take care of her 14 year old son.
Shi Ju Ying / 施菊英	Shi Ju Ying has always worked on the farm in Chong Ming. Now that her daughter is attending university, she has joined the Shokay team to earn supplemental income for her household.
Lu Jing Liu / 陆锦柳	Lu Jing Liu used to be an accountant at a neighboring factory. After getting married, she spent most of her time taking care of her household and now 15 year old daughter. She has always knitted sweaters for her family.
Shi Pin Fang / 施品芳	Shi Pin Fang used to work at a crayon factory and has also knitted sweaters for export . She has a son who is a senior high school. He has received very good grades, and hopes to attend a good university.
